Private Blood tests – Change of practice Policy.

Due to a recent change of policy by the Hospital Pathology Department, the practice is now billed directly for all private blood tests. All blood tests taken here, as part of private treatment (Non-NHS) or ordered by a private consultant must be paid for at the time of taking. The cost varies depending on the individual and the tests ordered, but the minimum charge is £35 per person. An invoice and receipt will be provided to you. Crondall New Surgery does not profit from this service.

The same policy will apply to blood tests that are carried out purely from a patient's request and that are not indicated under NHS Guidelines. Your GP can advise you further on this.

A full list of the tests and their costs are available during your consultation from the phlebotomist, nurse or doctor.
