Telephone Consultations and On-The-Day Triage -

Our team are trained to navigate you to the most appropriate service in our multi-disciplinary team.

To book you in to the best service to meet your needs, they will ask you to provide the main reason for your call so please work with them on this.

If the problem is very personal, you can just state this.

There is always a high demand for same-day appointments. To accommodate this, we operate a GP-triage. You will need to call from 8am onwards to book a triage call with a GP the same day. The doctors will work with you to resolve your problem in one of many ways, for example, with telephone advice for home management, a suggestion of an appropriate over-the-counter preparation; with a prescription sent electronically directly to a pharmacy of your choice (or dispensed on-site to eligible patients); with a same-day face-to-face appointment with the doctor; with a paramedic vist; with a routine appointment with a GP or nurse at a later date for review; and so on.

If you would like a routine telephone call with your GP, you can either book this over the phone with reception, or directly using the online booking service.

The online booking service offers appointments for the MSK Orthopaedic Specialist service, cervical smears and seasonal flu clinic bookings.

Please note: If you book a telephone consultation and then come to the surgery instead, the doctor will not be able to see you in that timeslot.
