New Patient Registration

The practice welcomes new patients who live within our local practice area. Patients who wish to register with the practice must live within the catchment area displayed in the foyer or on the cathcment map found via the link at the bottom of the homepage. We do not accept patients who reside outside our catchment area, nor can we retain current patients who move outside our catchment.*

Dispensing medication on-site is only available to patients who live more than 1.6km in a straight line from a pharmacy.

As it can take some time for records to be received from your previous practice, newly registered adults will be asked to complete a health questionnaire and are offered a consultation with the doctor. If you have a complicated medical history it would be a good idea to request a summary from your current practice to send us upon registering. Ideally, you should have a month's worth of medication in hand before moving, to allow us time to set you up on the system before requiring further medication. Our practice does monthly prescriptions for our patients as the general rule.

Once we register you, we will advise you of the name of your registered GP, whether we can dispense to you, and ask you to book an appointment for a new registration health check. If you are on repeat medication, a telephone appointment with a GP will be offered. Children on repeat medication will also be offered this.

Veterans - please let us know if you are an Armed Forces Veteran so that we can record this in your notes.

The Online registration form is available via the New Patients tab above.  Medical treatment is available from the date of registration.  Please contact reception for further information on lead times. We usually register new patients within 10 working days. In the meantime, you can contact your existing practice for care.
*This will always be considered on an individual basis but the policy is clear.
